week 05 – Ephesians 1 – “Every Spiritual blessing IN CHRIST”
This week we’re talking about Ephesians 1.
Paul wrote this letter to the church in Ephesus encouraging them mainly about unity & understanding all the incredible blessings they have in Christ together.
He loved them dearly, spent lots of time with them through out many missionary journeys and multiple longer stays of up to a few years at a time helping Pastor them.
He even left Timothy there to help when He was away.
They definitely struggled because of some false teachers, so Paul was trying to make sure they understood the Truth of the Gospel, faith, unity, grace, etc.
You can read even more about the church in Ephesus and people he was writing to in Acts 18-19, 1 Timothy 1, And Revelation 2.
Some main themes to look for in Ephesians 1 are:
- the idea that He’s given us EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN CHRIST
- that we would KNOW just how much He has given us and just how much we have in Him

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
- Without listing anything physical, what can you list out that God has given you because of Jesus?
- Try to extract & make a similar list, bullet point style, of the things Paul lists out here in Ephesians 1.
- What could these 2 lists do for your attitude, perspective, thankfulness, entire life?
