week 20 – COLOSSIANS 4 – “PEOPLE & PRAYER”

This week we’re talking about COLOSSIANS 4.

In typical closing fashion, Paul spews out a few final directives to make sure they get on the right track where it means the most.

The last chapter in his letters have proven to be this way. I mean it’s your last chance to make sure they get the most out of it before you can’t say anything anymore.

So of course you pack in the big ideas.

In this one he talks mostly about PEOPLE & PRAYER:

• • • devoting yourself to prayer
    • praying for others
    • getting intentional about how you treat people who aren’t Christians (in action & in conversation, relationships with a Kingdom focus)
    • and builds community and unity with all the peoples names telling them to be intentional about them as well

This week, don’t brush over the surface, but dig deeper with the ideas. Read this chapter and see how these topics could continue to shape your life.

Praying for others, more devotion & intentionality, growing in your ability to answer people, getting intentional in building Kingdom community, etc.

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

1. What are the bullet point topics Paul mentions in this chapter?
   
2. Which one of these needs to be your focus right now?
   
3. How could you work on that area & get intentional to grow there?
   
4. Make a list of people in your life like Paul did that you can get really intentional about building community with, praying for, encouraging them, having them in your home, pursuing God together, etc.
