This week we’re talking about GIVING GOD SPACE TO SPEAK TO US.
Understanding The Season
A few weeks ago the Pastor at our church called us to a church wide, mid-year fast.
And he mentioned this phrase that had been rocking me for the past few weeks.
He said simply, “we’ve got to understand the season.”
WOW!
That really IS the big deal in life.
Without understanding the season with God, we are just wondering & wandering, no vision, no direction, not closeness, not hearing His voice or words to us in the moment, still living off of yesterdays bread.
But Jesus wants us to KEEP IN STEP WITH THE SPIRIT.
He wants us to HEAR HIS VOICE and to UNDERSTAND THE SEASON because we are walking closely with Him, and He is keeping us in the loop.
The challenge this week is simple… give God space EVERY DAY to speak to you about the season He has you in.
Like genuine, legitimate space… to listen, to hear, and to understand the season.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
- On a scale of 1-10, how CLEARLY can I hear the Lord in this current season?
- Is my answer telling of how much time I spent in solitude/silence/prayer/listening with Him?
- Where will I make space for that THIS WEEK?
- Lord, what do you want to tell me about THIS season?

This week, read through these Scriptures each morning. Think about this idea of UNDERSTANDING THE SEASON.
Ask God if there are any areas you need to surrender or change in order to GIVE HIM TIME TO EXPLAIN THE SEASON TO YOU.
Let this theme guide your God time all week, and even your thoughts and conversation with Him through out your days, all week long.
