WEEK 37 – THERE’S STILL SO MUCH TO LEARN ABOUT LOVE
Lately, as we’ve been scripting & recording the videos for our CHRISTLIKE COURSE (coming soon) that’s a deep dive into the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, I’ve been amazed by how much we still have to learn about each of these incredible fruits of the Spirit.
I figured we could talk a little bit about them together here as well as we prepare for the CHRISTLIKE COURSE to release in the next month or two.
Preparing our hearts for what God wants to do in us, in what I sense is a mighty work in our lives & in our relationships, as we learn how to LOVE, how to carry JOY, how to walk in greater PEACE, in more PATIENCE, truly with a greater KINDNESS, unpack GOODNESS, renew a deep & passionate FAITHFULNESS, become more GENTLE like the Lord, & develop a much stronger SELF-CONTROL.
I mean IMAGINE with me, how different your life & your relationships would look if you spent intentional time in the next couple months unpacking, discovering, and developing these 9 incredible Fruits of the Spirit in your life & character & in your relationships…
Your entire life would be radically transformed. Your marriage, your friendships, your hope, even your OWN joy & peace & love would be renewed like never before.
So let’s do it you guys!
TODAY (and this week) it’s LOVE!
To really give LOVE justice, we’ve got to talk about LOVE in the different areas of our lives.
If you’re married – Take some time to evaluate your LOVE in your marriage… not the LOVE between you and your spouse, but YOUR love… like how well do you LOVE ON your spouse, and how could you LOVE better, deeper, more creatively, in a way they would feel it & know it & come alive in it?
That’s worth spending some thinking time & praying time about.
Think about how you LOVE God. How well do you love on God? Is your love towards Him passionate? Cold? Alive? Fading? Pursuing? Seeking? Growing? Shrinking?
What do you currently do that is you pursuing closeness with Him? What could you do that could increase your love for Him & increase your intimacy with Him?
Also think about LOVE in light of COMPASSION for others. How about your thoughts…motives…actions…reactions…
Spend time thinking, praying, asking, and evaluating your LOVE in all these areas (and any others you can think of), and ask the Lord to increase your understanding of How you could walk in a greater LOVE and increase the Fruit of the Spirit of LOVE in your life.
Let’s chat about what you come up with & what He tells you in SLACK.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF (or your groups)
- How well do you LOVE ON your spouse?
- How could you LOVE better, deeper, more creatively, in a way they would feel it & know it & come alive in it?

SCRIPTURE
Galatians 5:22-23 / 1 Corinthians 13
WEEKLY FOCUS
This week, read through these Scriptures each morning.
Think about this idea of INCREASING IN THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT OF LOVE.
Ask God if there are any areas you need to surrender or change in order to GROW YOUR LOVE.
Let this theme guide your God time all week, and even your thoughts and conversation with Him through out your days, all week long.
Let Him speak to you about this idea of LOVING BETTER, and see what He says.
We’d love to hear your feedback, so hop into the devos conversation thread in SLACK & we’re excited to see what the Lord speaks to you this week.
BLESSINGS!
