week 19 – COLOSSIANS 3 – “THE BEST WAY”
This week we’re talking about COLOSSIANS 3.
Praise God for chapters like this.
Colossians Chapter 3 is a straight up light to our path.
It’s amazing bacause it illuminates that there actually IS a best way in life.
SO many people these days talk about choosing your own path, finding you own path, they’re all right, they’re all good, you do you, just do whatever as long as it makes you happy, and you’ll be fine.
I’m sorry but that is a lot or crap!
THAT is exactly how people get into EVERY SINGLE HEARTACHE THERE IS IN LIFE.
There IS a best way though. And it’s God’s way.
There’s a way of darkness, and there is a way of light.
There’s a way of death, and there’s a way of life.
But not even just the “JESUS” way, although that’s true, He is the way the Truth & The Life. But sometimes that is just vague. We’ve got to follow his way & ways to actually be following Him as the way.
Does that make sense?
So this chapter is a description of what isn’t his way and what is his way. SUPER helpful.
We also find out who we are in this chapter, super crucial to know our identity, that’s where out confidence comes from.
SIDE NOTE: no wonder theres a rampant disease of not being confident these days, we don’t know our true identity.
But it can only be found in Jesus. Try to find it anywhere else and you just dive even deeper into confusion and darkness searching for the light and reaping even more destruction in your life.
But find yourself in Jesus, let Him reshape your life to look like this chapter, and man, I can’t even describe how fulfilling, healed, healthy, and full of life you whole life becomes.
I So wish that everyone would follow Jesus. my heart just breaks to pieces for the world and all of the people who just don’t know Him, or won’t.
There’s just SO MUCH HEALING IN JESUS’ arms if we would just comes to Him & let Him reshape us.
So anyways, let’s for sure be the people who do. Come to Colossians 3 this week with us & let’s dive deep into Jesus together.
Lord show us your ways. Show us why. Answer our questions, Heal our hearts. Teaches of our true identity in You. And help us reveal it to everyone around us as well & hopefully bring your freedom & salvation to everyone who needs you so badly.

- What are some of the things from the lists in this chapter that are in your life (either the good list or the bad one)?
- What needs to change?
- What does he reveal about your identity in this chapter?
- What does he say about relationships, unity, serving, etc.?
- How does that relate to your situation as a spouse, parent, employee, employer, friends, etc.
