week 32 – JAMES 5 – THE FINAL MATTERS
As with the ending of most New Testament letters, James is firing off a variety of topics, making sure we get everything else that is really important to say.
Remember, these guys weren’t just tying on keyboards here, every word written was super intentional and on purpose and wasn’t written if it wasn’t worth writing.
So he’s talking about stewarding money well for the Kingdom, as employers & just as people. If we have, we should be joyfully using it on behalf of others.
He’s talking about being patient. He’s talking about keeping watch for Jesus returning. He’s talking about what to do when we’re sick, in trouble, full of joy, etc.
There’s quite a bit he fires off at the end here, so let’s do as we usually do & make a bullet point list of what he’s saying is important for us to align with.
Then let’s spend some time making sure our lives & lifestyles are actually aligned here.

- What topics does James cover in the last chapter here? Make a bullet point list of everything he’s telling you to do.
- Spend time with the Lord asking Him if there are any of these you haven’t come into alignment with yet, & make some changes.
