WEEK 01 – God First

This week we’re talking about Intimacy, closeness, surrender, trust, worship, glorifying Him in: actions, reactions, thoughts, motives, conversations, decisions, etc.

It’s literally WALKING WITH JESUS just like the Disciples did 2,000 years ago.

It means you fall in love with Scripture, fall in love with Prayer, fall in love with getting closer and closer and closer to Jesus every single day of the rest of your life.

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

(1) If God says to you, “Go here, stop this, start this, give this up, change this, etc.”, do you obey?

(2) Does He have the last say in your life or do you? (not just savior but LORD, boss, master)

(3) Is He who you’re trying to please OR are you trying to please & get approval from other people?

(4) What do you worry bout? Have you trusted God with those things or do they still get your focus?

*If God is truly first in your life, you will surrender those things to Him, trust Him with the outcomes no matter what, and consider closeness with Jesus more important than the outcome of those things. Only then will you experience the peace & rest that comes from actually having God first in your life and trusting Him over anything else to take care of you.

Ask God if there are any areas you need to surrender in order to truly be offering Him all of you.
