WEEK 32 – HEAVEN COME
I was thinking about Heaven this morning, and how amazing it will be.
It’s really hard to imagine, isn’t it? But Heaven will be WAY more amazing than we can possibly imagine.
It’s so easy to think of it as this faraway place that really isn’t as desirable as this life we have here and now.
I mean we live like that don’t we?
But Scripture is clear that it’s actually HEAVAN THAT IS OUR HOME.
Picture Heaven with me… no pain, no suffering, no diseases, no death, no tears.
Eating from the fruit of the tree of life. Seeing Jesus face to face and being with Him in eternity forever.
Streets of gold, pearly gates, a vast array of colors we’ve never seen or could imagine before.
The river of life flowing from His throne. No darkness because Jesus’s glory is enough light for everyone and everything always.
Sheesh… It’s more wonderful than our minds can handle, so it’s hard to picture. this world is basically all we know.
But more than that, Heaven is still something that God created. So it’s really Him that makes Heaven so amazing.
And we have access to Him right here and right now.
The very best part of Heaven, we have access to know & pursue & bask in & gaze at right here and right now.
WOW!
That makes me wan to spend all day with Jesus right there for real!
And yet He wants us to pray that Heaven would come to Earth.
Jesus Himself has a desire to bring Heaven to Earth & sent us as His followers out to bring it and make it so.
#mindblown
I’m on this prayer journey if you will right now to explore what that really means with the Lord.
I want us to start walking in more of Heaven’s ways right here on Earth because I think that’s what Jesus was after.
I mean if there is no sickness in Heaven & He went around healing the sick, He was bringing Heaven to Earth.
He told us to preach that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
Go & heal & make disciples, & baptize.
It’s like He really meant it haha.
He wants to bring Heaven to Earth through us, but we are all still down here living by Earth’s laws.
I think He wants us to realize that Heavens healing & limitlessness overpowers Earth’s flawed limits.
I think He wants us to realize that He has given us access to walk in Heaven’s limitlessness.
And I think He wants us to walk in His Spirit & with His authority, and to start bringing Heaven to Earth.
Meaning, heal people, walk in His ways, make disciples, fill up the Kingdom, etc.
Like I said, I’m on this prayer journey with the Lord about this topic, so I’m still asking Him to help me understand and live how he wants us to.
But I want to invite you on this journey with me too.
Let’s pray and ask the Lord to expand our vision of Heaven. To show us His glory. To give us His Spirit. And to really teach us how He wants us to bring Heaven here on Earth.
We love you Father. We need you now Lord more than ever. Teach us & show us what you want from us. I know you’ve already told us & shown us & given us Scripture. But be patient with us as we still don’t understand fully or walk in your power & authority. We’re still afraid. Or we don’t understand Or we don’t know. Show us, teach us, challenge us, grow us, and help us step into Your fullness right here on Earth as it is in Heaven.

- What is Heaven like in your imagination? Write out as much description as you can.
- From your knowledge of what Jesus told us in Scripture, how are we supposed to bring Heaven to Earth? What does that really look like to you
- What is holding you back from walking in that fullness?
- Ask God these same questions, “Lord, what is Heaven like? How am I supposed to bring Heaven here on Earth? What is holding me back from walking in that fullness?”
- Listen for His answers and share them with us in this weeks slack discussion. We’re growing right along side you. See you in Slack.
