WEEK 35 – Christmas Displays His Love For US
Now I know I don’t have to tell you how special Christmas Day is.
But it IS really easy to not give it enough thought and therefor miss out on what it really could be for us.
Now, people debate whether or not Jesus was actually born on that day, but that’s not the point for us, this is the day we are choosing to celebrate His birth, so that’s what we’re talking about today 🙂
Our entire salvation depends on what happened on Christmas Day.
Us being made right with God again.
Us getting access to our Maker again.
God completely washing away our iniquities, our sin, our rebellion, our shackles and brokenness.
The cross. The empty tomb. Resurrection. Jesus coming back to take us with Him.
Allllll of that is wrapped us inside of us celebrating the fact that He came!
He came!
He did it!
He loved us enough to come and rescue us.
And His heart has never changed for us.
Just like the Father sent His Son Jesus to us, He also sent His Spirit to us, and He’s still right here with us.
This whole entire story and reality for us can get to be pretty awe inspiring, overwhelming, and worship compelling if you think about it.
So lets think about it.
Lets chew on it.
Let’s spend time with god talking and asking and listening, all about Jesus coming.
Read the beginning of each of the Gospels to read the story again of when He was born.
See what stands out to you.
Ask God for a revelation of His love this Christmas.
And if you take ONE THING AWAY from this Christmas season, may it be that, a revelation of His love that you got straight from Him as you intentionally asked for Him to show you more about His love through the story of Him coming.
