WEEK 53 – “Draw Me Ever Closer Lord”
The biggest problem I see in the Church today is that we get caught up in going through the motions with God, instead of cultivating a deep, thriving, living, breathing, ever pursuing, ever drawing closer, relationship with Him.
One where we are engaged, in awe, in love, having fun, all in, committed, devoted, seeking after, and basically dating God.
Not the dating we do with people before we get married (that’s a whole other “how to” that we need to cover another time).
I’m talking about dating AFTER we’re married.
And that’s part of the problem.
We don’t know how to pursue God when we’ve been with Him for a while, because we don’t know how to keep up the pursuit ANYWHERE in our lives.
